Pilot-induced turbulence

Eons ago I trained for my pilot license in the mountains of Colorado. When flying a plane you grip the yoke with only two fingers and a thumb. Aircraft control surfaces are very sensitive so you use pressure not big movements. Gripping the yoke with your entire hand as if you’re driving a car could lead to overcontrolling the plane, also known as pilot-induced turbulence.

What are you overcontrolling?
